![]() Bob is a true pioneer of contemporary poster art. He shares this stage with the great rock poster artists like Stanley Mouse, Alton Kelley, Rick Griffin, Victor Moscoso, Randy Tuten and a few select artists that were lucky enough to find themselves immersed in the psychedelic 60s. What sets him apart is his love of art nouveau, and his meticulous style. Bob Masse posters from the 60s are worth hundreds and in some cases thousands of dollars, and 20 years from now his recent posters will be worth the same! Recently Bob Masse has enjoyed a resurgence in popularity. His posters are now becoming known worldwide and he is recognized as one of the great posters artists not only for his work in the 60's but also for the great art he continues to produce today. Bob Masse designs are influenced
by many things. He is deeply into psychedelic art. He is also a huge fan
of art nouveau, in particular the works of Maxfield Parrish and Alfonse
Mucha. Bob does all his lettering freehand, and over the years he has produced
posters that were very complex and full of symbolism, as well as beautiful
posters that are simply laid out. Bob also has a fondness for the "pin-up
girl" look which is evident in many of his posters through the years.
The value of Masse's art rises over time. Posters from 20 + years ago are worth several times their original cost, and due to the fact that Masse is an original psychedelic artist, all his new works will also rise in value. Whether it's an investment or decoration, every Masse poster is a special limited item.
