Jethro Tull is a band that defied all conventions of the time. Led by Ian Anderson, Tull took the rock band structure and turned it upside down by putting a flute in lead role that a guitarist would normally have filled. They are a band that helped define the sixties.

Mike Frankel took this photograph of Ian Anderson at The Fillmore East in 1968. It captured Anderson in full pose, crazy hair and all. The border design was created by scottish artist Macrae.
