Karl Ferris is more than a photographer. There are many photographers that were in the right place at the right time and took some great pictures but Ferris pioneered a style of photography that has been dubbed "Psychedelic Photography". He used military grade film (and his secret technique) to create images that went well beyond any form of traditional rock photography. Building on his innovative psychedelic colors he produced several of the most famous images in the rock era. Most notable is probably his "Fisheye" photograph of The Jimi Hendrix Experience, an image that has come to define the late 60's.
