Lost "Jimi Hendrix At The Saville Theatre" Poster Now Available Finally, after 35 years , the ultra rare 1967 "Jimi Hendrix At The Saville Theatre" poster is now available in limited quantities. Reprinted from the original art work, high quality custom printed on heavy stock, supervised by the photographer/designer Karl Ferris.
The second set of this show was cancelled after the band learned that Saville Theatre owner Brian Epstein had collapsed and died. The significance of this for Hendrix, The Beatles and everyone else around Epstein was tremendous, and this poster represents the moment it happened...
During the summer of 1967, the Saville Theatre was THE place for live music in London. A former opera theatre, its boxes were reserved for rock royalty -- the Beatles, the Rolling Stones, Donovan, Jimi Hendrix among them -- who would show up to watch other hot acts of the time.
