Self Portrait Lithograph


Referred to by Dylan himself as "...a rough sketch acrylicly done", this painting was Dylans way of tying together the music and the album art in his own artistic way. His "Self Portrait" was accepted in the art community as a primitive expression of Dylans music, though fans of his music probably saw it is a lot more complicated. Very few musicians without formal art training would have had the balls to paint their own portrait and use it for their album cover, but then again Bob Dylan never liked to fit a particular mold....
